Art Galleries
Based in a historic two-storey warehouse building, Japingka Gallery is committed to sourcing the best indigenous fine art works, using its vast experience and extensive industry-wide contacts to build up collections and exhibitions of established and emerging talents to showcase. With 400 square metres of exhibition space, Japingka Gallery provides a wide view and stock of the artworks of indigenous communities and regions, as well as a selected exhibition program in its first floor galleries.
The directors of the gallery have presented over 100 exhibitions of Aboriginal paintings, prints and sculptures in Australia and internationally, and continue to show full exhibition programs at the gallery to a wide audience. The program is conducted within the framework of the ART.TRADE Code of ethics, and therefore displays a story associated with the painting, an artist biography and a signed Certificate of Authenticity next to each piece displayed in the gallery.
