Specialty Burgers and Snags
Alfred's kitchen has been out to satisfy the hunger of the locals since 1946, serving its renowned hamburgers in the historic town of Guildford. It's named after Alfred Cook, an English migrant who started by selling burgers from a small caravan on the side of the road.
As Guildford's only roadside hamburger bar, when the outdoor flames are burning, then they're open for business, every night come rain or shine.
The roadside hamburger bar has a blazing open fire and log seats helping to create the cosy and friendly atmosphere that makes it so popular. It's the perfect spot for a late night meal, especially for travellers, truckies, local theatre goers, and bikers alike.
The menu has a selection of over 40 burgers for you to choose from, to suit every palate. If you fancy something warming or are looking for local cuisine, the ever popular pea and ham soup is made from a secret recipe and cooked for hours over a wood burning stove. It's a must try dish.
